We have the following calls
(2) Journeyman Wireman / Welders, to Day & Zimmerman NPS at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant for Unit- 1 projects. OSHA 10, Drug Test, and Safety Toe Boots required. You will report to the jobsite on Tuesday, Sept. 7th, after callout.
ALSO, (2) Journeyman Wiremen to Day & Zimmerman NPS at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant for MODS for the upcoming outage. OSHA 10, Drug Test, and Safety Toe Boots required. You will report to the jobsite on Tuesday, Sept. 7th, after call out.
ALSO, (1) Journeyman Wireman to Beltline Electric at Widows Creek Fossil Plant for a 2 week short call on a 4-10's shift. OSHA 10, Drug Test, and Safety Toe Boots required. You will report to the jobsite on Sept. 7th, after call out.
BOOK 1 callout is at 9:00 A.M.

Inside
On the Inside, we currently have 157 on Book1 and 1759 on Book 2.
TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant - staffing for Bechtel and Day-Zimmerman NPS has slowed for projects at the WBN Plant.
Information on VW plant: We have 8 signatory contractors on site. We do not anticipate large calls for VW.

Outside
Work on the Outside is slow. We have 44 Journeyman Linemen on Book 1 and 11 LInemen on Book 2. Linework is slow in our jurisdiction.

IBEW LOCAL 175 REFERRAL POLICY
Effective August 2, 2010
1. Initial sign-in shall be in person at the Local Union office.
2. Referral sign-in shall be allowed at any time during normal operating hours of the Local Union business office (including lunch hour). Signing in after 4:00pm will be dated for the following day.
3. All available calls will be listed on the recorder and the website after 5:30pm each day for Book 1 calls and after 10:00am for Book 2 calls. For available job information call 423-892-6482 or 800-423-9175 or click here.
4. Book 1 Callout
From 8:15 am until 9:00 am - eligible Book 1 applicants present for dispatch to the jobs available for that day shall register with the dispatcher. Registration with the dispatcher is required to be eligible for calls from the day book.
Registration with the dispatcher will be suspended from 9 am when callout begins, until Book 1 callout is completed.
At 9:00 am the dispatcher will compile a list of applicants present and eligible for referral to the jobs available for the day. Their number will be based on their chronological position on the Book 1 out of work list.
The dispatcher shall begin with the lowest number present and continue thru higher numbers until all calls are filled, or until there are no more eligible applicants willing to take calls.
Book 2 Callout
From 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm - eligible Book 2 applicants present for dispatch to the jobs available for that day shall register with the dispatcher. Registration with the dispatcher is required to be eligible for calls from the day book.
Registration with the dispatcher will be suspended from 2 pm when callout begins, until Book 2 callout is completed.
At 2:00 pm the dispatcher will compile a list of applicants present and eligible for referral to the jobs available for the day. Their number will be based on their chronological position on the Book 2 out of work list.
The dispatcher shall begin with the lowest number present and continue thru higher numbers until all calls are filled, or until there are no more eligible applicants willing to take calls.
The Local Union is responsible for filling calls in a timely manner as needed by employers. Emergency referrals may have to be made outside normal hours using whatever means are available to fill calls and place registrants.
5. Registrants will be allowed two (2) turndowns (dings) without penalty and be removed from the out-of-work list for a third turndown (ding).

6. The refusal of a regular call (more than 2 weeks)
will be considered a turndown (ding).
7. Jobs referred to applicants below you on the Out of work list will be considered a turn down (ding).
8. Being unavailable for referral when work would have been offered to applicant will be considered a turndown (ding).
9. Rejection of an applicant by an employer (turn around) will not count as a turndown (ding) and will exclude the applicant from future turndowns (dings) associated with calls from that employer.
10. Calls requiring special skills: (certified welder, crane operator, etc.)
Turndowns (dings) will only apply to applicants possessing specific special skills when a bona fide special skills call is available.
11. Turndown (ding) – Refusal of a regular call for any reason not previously discussed will result in a ding. Applicants will only receive (1) one ding per day regardless of the number of different calls. Applicants will be allowed (2) two turndowns (dings). Applicants will be removed from the out of work list upon refusing their third job call. After being removed from the Out of work book for turndowns the applicant must re-sign the book in person at the Local Union office during regular business hours.
12. Refusal of a short call will not count as a turndown (ding).
If you accept a call and do not report to work you will be removed from the out of work book, unless you have a compelling reason (emergency).
