Work Information for IBEW Local 175:
Inside
On the Inside we currently have 246 on Book 1 and 30 on Book 2.
You are always welcome to sign our book if you are in the area and seeking work.
Our referral and re-sign info is listed below.
Outside
Work on the Outside is good
We have 7 Linemen on Book 1 and 0 Linemen on Book 2
We have a call for 10 linemen for MPS
IBEW LOCAL 175 REFERRAL POLICY
Initial sign-in shall be in person at the Local Union office.
Referral sign-in shall be allowed at any time during normal operating hours of the Local Union business office (including lunch hour). Signing in after 4:00 PM will be dated for the following day.
Available calls will be listed on the recorder and the website after 5:30 PM each day for Book 1 calls and after 10:30 AM the following day for Book 2 calls. For available job information call: 800-423-9175 or 423-892-6482.
Callout Schedule
Book 1 callout is held at 9:00 AM.

When needed, Book 2 callout will be held at 2:00 PM. Available jobs will be listed after 10:30 AM on the Job line: 800-423-9175
If you take a call and do not report to work you will be removed from the out of work book, unless you have a compelling reason (emergency).
Re-sign policy
Re-signs shall be required monthly beginning on the 10th and ending on the 16th day of each month.

Double-booking is signing out-of-work books in a Local while working in another Local jurisdiction. This is NOT an acceptable practice at IBEW 175 and will not be tolerated. If you have questions pertaining to double-booking, please call our office.

All available calls will be listed on the recorder and the website after 5:30 PM each day for Book 1 calls and after 10:30 AM on the following day for Book 2 calls.
Short Calls
When referred on a "Short Call" (14 days or less), the day you pick up your referral counts as the first day. You must re-sign the out of work list within 14 days (Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays included) or you will be removed from the list.
Discharge For Cause
Any individual who is discharged two times for cause within a (12) twelve month period, shall have their future referral privileges suspended until they appear before the Appeals Committee for a determination as to their continued eligibility.

ATTENTION ALL ACTIVE "A" MEMBERS OF LOCAL 175:
The IBEW Pension Benefit Fund Death Benefit for "A" members is void
when your dues become 2 months in arrears.
